Busy, Busy

We have been pretty busy the past few weeks.  Sometimes maybe a little too busy.  As we were driving down our street the other day, Ronan said " Mama, why are we driving with Simon's door open?"  Oops!!  We only drove half a block.  Fortunately, my 2 year old is smarter than me.  The weather has been awesome, so we have been spending a ton of time at the park. We have also been spending some time at Cosi, Super Games, and are still doing soccer on Saturday mornings. Ronan also went back to the allergist and is now allowed to eat baked goods with egg in them. Most attemps have been successful. His first cookie did not end well (you should all be thankful that I didn't take a picture of the aftermath.)  We have had lots of visitors and made a trip to Canton/Cleveland.  Ronan even picked out a cake from Pinterest to make Papa for his birthday.  Here are some pictures from my phone.  My camera is currently in Canton, so I will post more pictures soon!

Simon is now 8 weeks old!  So, I figured now was a good time to post his 4 week stats.  Yikes!  Considering that I am a second born who spends much of her free time complaining to her parents about how neglected she was, one might think I would be more sensitive to this sort of thing.  Turns out, I'm not.  There are about 37,000 baby pictures of my brother.  There are 8 of me and the rest have that bum Elliot in them too.  Surely, I am a better parent than that!  Turns out, I'm not.  I guess Jane and Tom are about as good as they come.  Damn it!

Back to Simon.  He continues to be a pretty easy baby.  He is sleeping through the night.  What??!!  You heard it right!  He sleeps from about 11:30 until about 8:00 most nights.  Ronan didn't sleep that long until...well, I'll let you know when he starts sleeping that well.  Just kidding, I think he was about 8 months old.  Simon does not sleep well during the day, but that seems like a small price to pay.  I expect my house will be clean again sometime in the year 2033.  Stats at 4 weeks:  22 3/4 inches (90%), 11 lbs 8 oz (97%), 40cm head (90%).  He is a big boy!! More than 2 lbs heavier than Ronan at that age, although they were the same height.  I am guessing some of that baby fat is helping him sleep at night:)  Here are some pics of the little cutie.
