Winter Activities

I wanted to post some of our random pictures from this winter.  Ronan has been very into art projects and crafts lately, which is nice on a winter afternoon when we don't want to go back out.  He has also been quite the joker lately.  He loves to tell a good knock-knock joke.  Actually, he loves to tell a bad knock-knock joke, but he tries.  One of his best which he told at a restaurant with apples on the wall "Knock, Knock"  "Who's there?"  "There's a"  "There's a who?"  "There's a apple on the wall."  Ba Dum Bum.  My personal favorite joke was when he asked what was in the pasta the other night at dinner.  I said "artichokes."  He replied "Oh, Artie-chokes?  Not Dada-Chokes?"  Get it?  Cuz our dog's name is Artie....funny guy.  Well, countdown to Baby #2 is officially here with only a week to go, so hopefully my next post will be introducing our new little bundle of joy!

Traditional Mexican dinner on New Years

We headed to the zoo for Wildlights after dinner

Projects with Glow in the dark paints, or as Ronan calls them "globe in the dark."

Saturday soccer with dad.  It was pretty entertaining to watch.  Ronan is by far the worst listener in the class.  Most of the kids actually do the drills, Ronan runs laps around the gym.

Science Project...putting salt on a block of ice then watching the food coloring make its way through the cracks...thanks Pinterest!

He loves his new art center that Jaja and Papa got him for Christmas.

Waiting to be let into his first movie in a theater "Day of the Diesels"  It was an hour long, the last 20 minutes were very dicey.

Popcorn with dad

Little man loves to build long "super trains" and Kevin is very proud.

He's in there somewhere

Going Pro

Ronan has officially become a professional bedtime staller. Gone are the days of asking for more water or for mom to sing Pooh Bear one more time.  Endorsment deals will start rolling in any minute for he has realized if he sings to me there is no bedtime.  No one could resist the musical stylings of a 2 year old. The butchered lyrics! The strange enthusiasm when he says "a donkey named Eyore"!  It is too much for a mother to bear.  Warm up those vocal cords, my little friend, while I throw on a pot of coffee. It is going to be a late night.

Christmas Books

This is my favorite Christmas video.  I think it really captures the complex emotions that a 2-year-old feels when Santa brings him a couple of books.
