A Round of Applause!

Give yourself a hand, Simon, for learning how to crawl.

Simon is 10 months old today! He is sleeping like garbage, has 6 teeth (the top 4 of which came in almost simultaneously), and is officially crawling. He has been scooting around on his bottom and moving slowly for about a month now but waited to his birthday for the big debut. And here it is! He is also finally taking some finger foods and enjoying food a little more. He is as sweet as can be and is adding more tricks to his act almost daily. He babbles a ton which leads me to believe we might have another chatter on our hands. He enjoys chewing on shoes, cords, and, of course, his "chewing spoon". He aslo enjoys trying to put cords around his neck and pulling things on top of himself. This crawling thing might actually be a disaster.

First Day of School

Ronan had his first day of school today. I go with him the first week, so next week will be the true test. He had fun and met all his classmates and teachers. All the kiddos were super cute and I know he will have a great year!

He liked sitting in this chair while the teacher played songs for him. Ha! He also played barn and kitchen with his new buddies.

Ronan's Shy

I have to write this little gem down before I forget it. This happened today while we were in the waiting room before Ronan's first dentist appointment...he did great, by the way. The woman involved was sitting across from us and not super interested in having a conversation with a 3 year old, although cordial. I was sitting next to Ronan pretending that I didn't know him.

Ronan: I'm a little shy to people I don't know.
Woman: Yeah?
Ronan: My name is Ronan. What's your name?
Woman: Says name.
Ronan: That's my brother, Simes. Sometimes we call him Simey. Sometimes we call him Simoriot. Sometimes we call him pickup truck (we don't). I have a dog called Artie. He barks at people and is annoying.
Woman: You like to talk alot.
Ronan: Uh huh. What's your baby's name?
Woman: Arianna, but she's big now.
Ronan: Do you have a dog?
Woman: No
Ronan: What do you have? A cat?
Woman: I don't have a pet.
Woman is called for appointment. I have never seen someone move so quickly when going back to see the dentist.
Ronan: Who is going to come talk to me now, mom?

Maybe tomorrow at preschool they will teach my little friend the meaning of shy.

Summer, Friends, and a Party!

Busy couple of weeks at the McCann House. We have had lots of friends come and see us in Erie and tons of fun! JuJu and Boppy came and set up a new swingset for the boys. Thanks JuJu and Boppy! Ronan had his birthday party (a couple of weeks late). Mostly we have been enjoying summer before preschool starts! Here are some pics...lots of them.
