Funny Artie

I challenge you not to smile while watching this video.

18 Months

Ronan has officially been terrorizing, er, I mean, brightening the world for a year and a half now.  He is still as funny, crazy, and active as ever.  Although Kevin and I are still the only people with the complete copy of the Ronan to English Dictionary, he is really starting to talk up a storm.  It is so fun to hear him talking and trying to put together sentences.  Here are some of my favorites.  "Daw, go owsigh!"  Translation: "Dog, go outside." He hears this often when Kevin and I are annoyed with Artie.   Today while reading a story and pointed to a duck swimming and said "Duh, quaa, wa-wa" Translation "Duck, quack, water."  He loves pointing at eyes (and by pointing, I mean poking) and saying "eye-baw."  I will have to teach him that normal people just call it an eye. Thankfully for Artie, Ronan is also getting pretty good at giving nice touches.  Although once he starts, he has trouble stopping and wants to give everyone (and many inanimate objects) nice touches.  As he does it he says "Nii, Mama" (Nice to Mama), "Niii Dada" (Nice to Dada), "Niii Nana" (Nice to Elmo).  Last night I informed Kevin that I would be having a one-woman Oscar party.  Ronan excitedly replied "Ocar!"  I didn't have the heart to tell him that I don't think they let grouches on the red carpet, not the kind he would be hoping for anyway.

In less exciting news, we had Ronan tested for allergies due to his fondness of puking.  Unfortunately, turns out he is severely allergic to egg whites and mildly allergic to cow's milk, soy, wheat, peanuts, and cod.  My standard joke being "Oh, is that all?"  Good news is that so far we only have to avoid eggs until the allergist can give us more specifics this Friday.  We are also pretty lucky to know a world-renowned mediocre dietitian.  I am, however, pretty handy with a food label:)  We have been sick almost the entire month of February, so spring can't come soon enough!  That'll do for the complaining...here are some pictures.

Poor sick guy...sometimes you just gotta lay on the floor with Elmo

Elmo makes everyone feel better

Diaper glory and stuffed cheeks

Spring Walk!

This hat gives him a bad case of "Fivel ears"

The kid walks with purpose.

He loves the slide.  He calls it a "weee!"  He would go down, stand up and say "now, weee!"  Which actually means "down weee!"
Cute kid.

Dancing with his new pal, Mickey.  Thanks Grandma Juju and Grandpa Boppy!

Nice Blue Blockers

He can't get enough avacado "abooga"  He can eat an entire avacado by himself and begs for them.  It's the only green thing he will currently eat.

Dynamic Duo!

Penn and Teller, Hall and Oates, Bill and Ted, and introducing Ronan and Rogan...great men made greater as part of a team.  Jules and I have swapped babysitting duties a couple of times.  This time was so much fun as the boys actually seemed to notice each other and kinda played together (or at least next to each other).

You gotta love a man that can cook.

Could you pick up some milk while you're at the store?

We should really clean this dump up.

The first of many high fives!

Try these Cheerios....they're much better than those, um Cheerios, you're eating.

Scoot over and make some room for me!

Let's put on my mom's Homer slippers and see where the day takes us.

Papa!!

Ronan loves Papa, but then again, who doesn't?  He's kinda obsessed.  When Papa is around, no one else matters.  Ronan loves to look at Papa's picture, Skype with Papa, pick up the phone and say "Papa?"  hoping that he will be on the other line.  He also loves when Papa cooks for him.  An example...I made chili the other week and Ronan wouldn't touch it.  A few days later Papa made chili and I told Ronan "Papa made chili for you."  Here is the result.

Make sure you get it all.
